- Why do some conversions show more decimals?
- Conversion factors are exact within IEEE 754 floating-point representation. The result is rounded to nine decimal places at display time; some values require more significant digits than others.
- What is the difference between decimal and binary data units?
- 1 kilobyte (kB) = 1,000 bytes and 1 kibibyte (KiB) = 1,024 bytes. Both are supported and labelled explicitly to avoid ambiguity.
- Can I convert negative values?
- Only for quantities where negative values have physical meaning, such as speed. Length, mass, area, volume, time, and data reject negatives.
